Environmental Intelligence (EI) is excited to announce that Southern California Edison (SCE) has awarded EI with a $25 million On-Call Major Environmental Project and Environmental Clearance Contract. The contract establishes EI as a Prime Contractor for the next four-year contract with an optional fifth year. EI has worked with SCE for over a decade and this award highlights EI’s partnership and commitment to high quality environmental compliance services. This utility contract supplements EI’s existing oil & gas and renewable energy assignments in the southern California energy sector.
David Levine, owner and Chief Executive Officer of EI says “It is our privilege to continue working with SCE to maximize the safety and efficiency of their transmission and distribution infrastructure while minimizing adverse effects to natural resources. EI is especially proud to be working as a trusted partner on SCE’s vegetation management, grid hardening and hazardous tree removal programs that reduce risk of wildfire throughout SCE’s service area. EI is also pleased to contribute to SCE’s regionally important compliance programs for coastal zone permitting, renewable energy interconnect and routine operations and maintenance within National Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and other public lands. We look forward to continue working with SCE on their environmental needs over the next five years.”
The new MSA will be led by Eric Kline and Rob Fletcher. Eric and Rob are both utility sector experts within the environmental industry and will lead a EI’s 60-person team of biologists, archaeologists, environmental scientists, permitting specialists and support staff. Eric has managed previous SCE environmental on-call contracts for EI and brings real world experience and efficiencies to their current programs. Rob is new to EI this past year. He spent the last decade at SDG&E and brings a unique industry insight and use of geospatial automations to help meet the utility industry’s needs and requirements.
