Tom Thompson has 7 years of experience performing biological monitoring and surveying throughout southern California and the mountains of northern California with focused experience on biological surveys in support of biomass and wood removal projects for the USDA Forest Service. Mr. Thompson’s species knowledge and experience includes biological monitoring and surveys for nesting birds, spotted owl, coastal California gnatcatcher, least Bell’s vireo, regulated wetlands and waters, and sensitive vegetation. Mr. Thompson has helped establish resource avoidance buffers and coordinated with construction crews to ensure mitigation compliance. Further, Mr. Thompson has coordinated with federal, regional and local agencies regarding biological resources and he has developed biological documentation including an oak woodland restoration plan and mitigation plan.
